Overview
Employee Engagement: JULY 2026
🏳️🌈 Pride Month 🏳️🌈
Pride Month is dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and advocating for equal rights. Pride Month is officially observed in June to commemorate the Stonewall Uprising in New York City in 1969. LGBTQ+ bars were frequent targets of police harassment, and when officers raided the Stonewall Inn, the community fought back—igniting a pivotal moment in the LGBTQIA+ civil rights movement. Although Pride Month takes place in June, we are celebrating now because the San Diego Pride Parade is held in July.
