Who Are We

The attorneys in Singleton Schreiber’s Sexual Assault practice group have extensive experience litigating sexual assault and abuse cases against large corporations on behalf of injured individuals. Our lawyers have achieved several six-figure and multimillion-dollar results for victims of sexual assault and abuse and have successfully fought international real estate giants and other powerful corporations to gain multimillion dollar settlements and company-wide sexual assault and harassment policy and procedure changes. Our team also has first-hand experience working directly with sexual trauma survivors in the community. We have team members certified to work with trauma survivors.

Who We Help

We help adult and child survivors of sexual assault, sexual abuse, and sex trafficking get justice against perpetrators, institutions, businesses, and corporations. This includes, but is not limited to, reformatory schools and institutions, juvenile and youth camps, boarding schools, residential treatment facilities, religious groups, health and wellness spas, gyms, hospitality and lodging, financial institutions, transportation companies, and other businesses and organizations.

Injuries and Recoverable Damages in Sexual Assault Cases

Victims and survivors of sexual assault, sexual abuse and sex trafficking can recover actual, compensatory, and sometimes punitive damages. Survivors often suffer from physical and/or mental and emotional injuries, including but not limited to emotional distress, depression, anxiety, stress, sadness, fear, suicidal ideation/attempt, physical bodily injuries, nightmares, sleep disturbances, irritability, frustration, self-harm,
avoidance, intrusive thoughts, isolation, emotional dysregulation, social and relationship harm, lifelong triggers, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic attacks, identity issues, fatigue, crying spells, and more. Depending on the facts and damages suffered, survivors can receive compensation for their injuries, physical abuse, emotional and psychological abuse and trauma, past and future life care and medical treatment needs, and other hardship caused by the abuse. We work with experts in the field to determine
the extent of each survivor’s damages and to ensure our clients are receiving the treatment, support, and services needed.

Fees and Costs in Sexual Assault, Abuse and Trafficking Cases

Because we take sexual assault cases on a contingency-fee basis, our fee is a percentage of the client’s recovery. Clients do not pay us anything unless and until there is a recovery. Our firm also advances costs in all cases, which enables our clients to get the justice they deserve without having to pay upfront costs associated with litigation and/or trial.
