Brett Schreiber, Partner at Singleton Schreiber in San Diego, was recently interviewed by Fox 5 San Diego in their news segment, "Attorney Files Mass Action Lawsuit Representing Imperial Beach Residents".

The segment provides a general summary of the recent mass action lawsuit filed against Veolia Water on behalf of residents impacted by the Imperial Beach Sewage Spill. Filed on Tuesday, the lawsuit argues that the spill has negatively impacted the quality of life and the economy of Imperial Beach residents. Veolia is also accused of having over 500 instances of illegally discharging waste since 2018 according to Mr. Schreiber who is hoping to use California nuisance law to enact change.

"Despite having received millions of dollars from the federal government, Veolia has failed to prevent pollution in our community. There is power when people lock arms and stand up together" Mr. Schreiber said, adding, "We hope to use California nuisance law which says that if you have had an interference with the use or enjoyment of your property you have a claim in California."
