Brian Colón, becomes President at National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO)

Brian S. Colón, Managing Partner for the New Mexico office at Singleton Schreiber LLP, was featured by Albuquerque Business First in an announcement regarding his election as Board President of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) for 2026–2027.

Colón has stepped into the national leadership role as NALEO marks its 50th anniversary. In this position, he will lead the organization's Board of Directors in advancing its mission to empower and equip Latino elected and appointed officials serving at all levels of government, from local school boards and city halls to statehouses and federal offices. NALEO provides critical data, policy insights, peer networks, and practical governance tools to its members.

As a trial attorney, Colón has built his career advocating for justice and equity for New Mexicans in their disputes against multi-billion-dollar corporations and government entities. His leadership at NALEO reflects his broader commitment to supporting communities and the officials working to drive meaningful change.

"This service as NALEO President is directly tied to why I'm a trial attorney, where I fight for justice and equity for New Mexicans in every community in the state. The NALEO members are on the ground every day, driving meaningful change in their communities."
