Founding partner Brett Schreiber was recently featured in an article highlighting the renewed scrutiny on Tesla’s Autopilot system as crash-related lawsuits continue to grow. After winning a major verdict against Tesla, Schreiber is now pursuing another wrongful-death case in San Francisco that claims Tesla misrepresented the safety of Autopilot.

A key issue is discovery. Schreiber asked to share confidential Autopilot design materials with lawyers in similar cases, while Tesla argued the information is protected trade secret data. A judge denied broad sharing but may allow a more limited, court-supervised process. Critics, including Schreiber, say the disputes show Tesla is withholding important safety information as concerns over its self-driving technology escalate.
