Two More Lawsuits Filed Against Homewood Spa Over Alleged Sexual Assaults

Sara Williams, Executive Partner, and Blake Milner, Senior Counsel at Singleton Schreiber, were featured by ABC News 33/40 in an article titled "Two More Lawsuits Filed Against Homewood Spa Over Alleged Sexual Assaults," published on July 31, 2026.

Williams and Milner represent two women, identified as "Beta" and "Delta," in separate civil lawsuits filed in Jefferson County Circuit Court against Escape Day Spa and former massage therapist Matthew Owen Jones. The lawsuits allege sexual assault during massage sessions in January and June 2026.

The lawsuits allege that Escape Day Spa knew of Jones' expired massage therapy license and prior allegations against him but continued to employ him with unsupervised access to clients. The case centers on institutional negligence and the spa's failure to act despite multiple warnings.

"Our investigation continues to reveal that Escape Day Spa was made aware on multiple occasions that they employed a dangerous massage therapist. They failed these survivors when they failed to act and instead continued to expose their clients to Jones," Sara Williams of Singleton Schreiber said in a statement.
