Woman Sues Homewood Day Spa, Massage Therapist Who Allegedly Sexually Abused Multiple Victims

Partner Sara Williams and Senior Counsel Blake Milner, were featured by AL.com in an article titled "Woman Sues Homewood Day Spa, Massage Therapist Who Allegedly Sexually Abused Multiple Victims," published on July 10, 2026.

Williams and Milner represent a woman who reported being sexually assaulted by a massage therapist during an appointment at Escape Day Spa in Homewood, Alabama. Singleton Schreiber filed the lawsuit on her behalf in Jefferson County, naming the therapist and the day spa as defendants.

The 14-count complaint asserts claims including false imprisonment, invasion of privacy, negligence, wantonness, assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. It alleges the spa employed the therapist without a valid professional license on file, failed to implement policies or supervision to protect clients, and took no action after the assault was reported. The therapist also faces two counts of first-degree sex abuse involving two victims, according to Homewood police.

"Our client went in for a routine massage and instead was assaulted by someone entrusted with her care, someone the spa knew shouldn't have been alone with customers in the first place," said Milner.
